Audio Pricing:

Location Recording: Including sound engineer / music producer (me).  Mics, boom mic stands (4), and 100' mic snake if needed.

Mileage charge round trip is 50¢ per mile.  There is also an extra charge of $150 per day for a job that is over 100 miles away from Las Vegas.  On-call time charge is $25 per hour.  $100 or more deposit may be required to hold a booking.  Rehearsal time is charged, set up and tear down time is not charged.  1 hour or more required for set up, 1/2 hour or more required for tear down.

1. Apple MacBook Pro and Digidesign Mbox Interface (with Focusright mic preamps) Running Pro Tools LE (or GarageBand or or Audacity) for Digital Multitrack Recording:  2-track or stereo recording, up to 32 total tracks available.  $100 per day plus $50 per hour production time.  Additional $100 per day for mixing board and more than 2 mics mixed to digital stereo.  Files saved to internal or external hard drives.

2. Tascam Analog Multitrack Cassette 8-Track Recording:  Recording 8 tracks at once with DBX noise reduction, through a mixer with 10 mic inputs and 10 line inputs.  $150 per day plus $50 per hour production time.  22 minutes per tape. $5 per tape.

3. Location Audio Engineer / Producer Services Only: Using your equipment at your location, for live or recorded performance or recording.  $50 per day plus $50 per hour production time.

TriPops Music Creation and Production Duo: Alex Oliver (singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist) and Roy Al Rendahl (recording engineer) writing and recording your music with you, or writing and recording our music for you, at your location or at our studio.

1. At Your Location: $50 per day plus $100 per hour production time, with additional charges for travel and material costs.

2. At Our Studio: $50 per hour production time plus $50 per hour studio time charges, with additional charges for material costs.

Audio Format Transfer: From and to: 1/4" stereo 7" reel-to-reel (and tape baking if necessary), cassette, 4-track cassette, 8-track cassette ( NOT Stereo 8 commonly known as an 8-track cartridge), DAT, CD, DVD; QuickTime, MP3, AIFF, or SD II files.  $50 per hour production time, with additional charges for material costs.

Location Live or Recorded Sound Reinforcement: Including sound engineer (me) and second tech person (if needed).  Mics (including a wireless Shure SM 58), boom mic stands (4), 100' mic snake, and CD player if needed.

1. Large System: JBL 15" / 12" / high frequency horn 3-way stereo PA system with 1,400 watts of power.  For foreground music (like a concert or dance) or speech in a large room or outdoors.  Mics and up to 10 mic input and 10 line input mixer.  Compression, reverb, delay, Aphex Aural Exciter.  $400 first day plus $100 each subsequent day (if equipment can be left securely in place) plus $100 per hour of performance time.

2. Small System: JBL 12" / high frequency horn 2-way stereo PA system with 700 watts of power.  For background music (like dinner music) or speech in a small room.  Mics and up to 10 mic input and 10 line input mixer.  Compression, reverb, delay, Aphex Aural Exciter.  $300 first day plus $100 each subsequent day (if equipment can be left securely in place) plus $100 per hour of performance time.

3. Mics, Mixer, and EFX Only: Mics and up to 10 mic input and 10 line input mixer.  Compression, reverb, delay, Aphex Aural Exciter to plug in to your house PA system.  $200 per day plus $100 per hour of performance time.

Video Pricing:

1. Location MiniDV Video Recording: Including audio / video engineer (me), Sony 3-CCD (380,000 pixels each chip) MiniDV digital camcorder, using image stabilization or on a tripod, with camera mounted shotgun microphone or camera mounted light.  Can use battery power, but 120v power is needed for a long production.  External microphones available include: single wired lavaliere or 1 or 2 wired hand held or stand mounted mic(s).  Audio monitoring with headphones.  Up to 1 hour per tape.  No charge for set up and tear down time.  1 digital video camera and 1 operator $100 per day plus $50 per hour production time.  $10 per 1 hour digital tape.

2. Location MiniDV Video Recording with Audio Production: Including audio / video engineer (me) and second tech person, Sony 3-CCD (380,000 pixels each chip) MiniDV digital camcorder, using image stabilization or on a tripod.  120v power is required for the audio mixing system.  Mics available include Shure: SM58(2), wireless SM 58, SM57(2), wired lavaliere, and several other mics; boom mic stands (4); and 100' mic snake if required.  Audio monitoring with headphones.  Up to 1 hour per tape.  No charge for set up and tear down time.  1 digital video camera and 2 operators $200 per day plus $100 per hour production time.  $10 per 1 hour digital tape.

Location Video Options:

2 1/2 foot high shooting platform if necessary: add $50 per day.

With lights if necessary: add $50 to $100 per day depending on quantity, see the Video section of our Equipment List (120v power required for external lights).

Trimordial Studio Pre- or Post-Production / Editing: Including audio / video engineer (me) on Apple Macintosh, output to MiniDV, DVD, CD, or QuickTime files.  $50 per hour production time.  $10 per 1 hour MiniDV digital tape, $5 per CD or $10 per DVD with paper sleeve.

Video Reproduction: Small quantity (1 ~ 25) duplication (burning) for studio customers.  CD $5 each or DVD $10 in a paper sleeve.  Add $1 each for slimline jewel case, and $2 each for standard jewel case.  Add $2 each disc for disc label, and $4 each case for front and back jewel case inserts.  $50 per hour studio time for any file preparation, handling, and setup.  See the Graphics section of our pricing page for information about design and printing disc labels and inserts.  I recommend Disc Makers 1-800-468-9353, Oasis 1-866-409-8170, or Odds On 1-877-633-7661 in Las Vegas, for high quantity duplication, tell them that Trimordial Studio sent you.

Video Format Transfer: From MiniDV to DVD or QuickTime files.  From VHS tape to DVD or DVD to VHS tape.  $50 per hour production time, with additional charge for material costs.

Graphic Design, Photography, and Web Design Pricing:

Commercial and Fine Art, and Photography: Mac computer graphics; 35mm photography, hand held or with tripod and with or without flash; and other media.  Using GIMP, NeoOffice, and other programs on Macintosh.  In-studio: $25 per hour.  Location: $50 per day plus $50 per hour.

Graphic Design: $25 per hour.  Using GIMP, NeoOffice, and other programs on Macintosh.  Digital output over the internet, CD, DVD, or other formats.  Paper output in standard sizes also available.  CD $5 each or DVD $10 each in paper sleeve.

Scanning Input: Up to 8.5" x 14" with up to 19,200 dpi (dots per inch) resolution in black and white or millions of colors.  Saved in your choice of format.  $5 per scan.

Computer Print Outs: Up to 8.5" x 14" (other sizes also available), up to 6000x1200 dpi resolution: Plain paper $3 / sheet, plain card stock or inkjet printer paper $4 / sheet, gloss inkjet printer paper or transparency $5 / sheet, gloss photo paper or adhesive labels $6 / sheet, iron on transfer $7 / sheet, or magnetic material $8 / sheet.  Ask about large format printing through the Las Vegas Artpost.

Website Design and Hosting: A simple page, corresponding to approximately an 8.5" x 11" piece of paper with title, body copy, contact information, several photos or drawings if you want, and invisible HTML (internet language) "meta tags" that help search engines find, rank, and display your page, is now only $250 US.  Extra web pages, long pages, submission to search engines and directories, SEO (search engine optimization), changes to existing web pages, original art, logo design, photography, etc. are made at our current studio rate of $25 US per hour, or other charges as shown on our Service & Price Sheet. We have high speed internet access for quick internet work.  Note: we don't do Flash, Java, or other distracting web work.  Also see The FaRo - Web Design and Hosting.

1. Web Page Hosting by The FaRo, (www.thefaro.com/yourname.html), is only $150 per year prepaid, which includes one email address, (yourname@thefaro.com).  You can set up monthly payments through PayPal.

2. Website Hosting by The FaRo, with your own domain name, (www.yourname.com), and 10 MB space is $250 per year prepaid, which includes three email addresses, (such as anyname@yourname.com).  You can set up monthly payments through PayPal.

3. Website Hosting by The FaRo, with your own domain name, (www.yourname.com), and 100 MB space is $500 per year prepaid, which includes 20 email addresses, (such as anyname@yourname.com).  You can set up monthly payments through PayPal.

We can register your domain name: yourname.com or .net or .org or .info or .biz or .us.com for $15 per year (if your name choice is available).  .eu.com or .de.com or .uk.com or .la are $50 per year (if your name choice is available).

Extra pages and extra email addresses have an additional charge of $10 each per year.

MySpace Page or Ning Site Setup and Maintenance: We can set up a MySpace account and put together either a personal page or a music page for you with your basic info, your pictures, your music (if it's a music page), and adding about a dozen friends for $250 US.  We can also maintain your MySpace page too at our current studio rate of $25 US per hour for updates, adding friends, making comments on other pages, forwarding messages to you, etc.  

Ning has made it possible to have your own MySpace type of site where other people can have their own personal pages on your site, which can be titled whatever you want.  We can set up your Ning site home page, administration information, and individual page templates for $250 US.  We can also maintain your Ning site too at our current studio rate of $25 US per hour for administrating and updating the site, forwarding messages to you, etc.

Original art, logo design, photography, making MP3s, etc. are also made at the rate of $25 US per hour, or other charges.  Note: we don't do sparkley, moving pages that tend to crash some computers and take a long time to load.
