Engineering at Trimordial Studio covers product design and development,
mechanical design engineering, machine design, and entertainment engineering.

Roy Al Rendahl has a US Patent # 4,884,792 for his design of a locking self adjusting cam operated clamp.

High speed (up to 1000 cartons per minute) motor driven folding carton loading and closing machine
with computer control flow chart, designed on computer by Roy Al Rendahl using Anvil CAD while at ADCO Mfg in CA.

Typical example of many automatic computer controlled pneumatic assembly machines
designed by Roy Al Rendahl while at Lake Center Ind in MN. Click here to see a

Blueprint of a time study sketch for a Special
Top Flap Tucker machine station that closes the
leading and trailing flaps on a three-pack milk / OJ
type carton sleeve as it goes by the tucking station.
Each mechanisim, designed by Roy Al Rendahl, uses
two counterrotating offset pivots, the top one rotating
at twicethe speed of the bottom one and moving
witha bearing in a slot on the actuator arm. I refer to
my mechanism as the "Crazy Kicking Feet" because
that is what it looks like when running,but it worked
and the customer was so happy with it that they
ordered another complete machine from ADCO Mfg.

while at LCI in MN.

Designed package label, displays,
and manufacturing process. Shown
is the hand filling station which
dispenses a mesured amount of
product to each bottle, designed
and built by Roy Al Rendahl.

Roy also designed and built a labeling
jig to efficiently and accurately place
the peel-and-stick label on each bottle.

Embossing Press for producing
three dimensional fine art work.
Similar to a wine press,
it was designed and built
with bolted 2 x 4s and
3/4" plywood by Roy Al Rendahl.
